Porsche 911 GT3 R

The 911 GT3 R will be raced in series based on the international FIA GT3 regulations, thus succeeding the 911 GT3 Cup S. The main focus in developing this new model was on even better drivability and even easier handling.

The 911 GT3 R is powered by a four-litre six-cylinder boxer engine delivering maximum output of 480 bhp (353 kW) transmitted to the rear axle by a sequential six-speed dog gearbox.

The starting point in developing the 911 GT3 R weighing just 1,200 kg or 2,646 lb was the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup presented in September for one-make cup racing. Thanks to its increase in engine size by 0.2 litres, the GT3 R offers 30 bhp more than the Cup model. Both cars are based on the extra-wide body of the 911 GT3 RS street-legal sports car.

An anti-lock brake system (ABS), traction control and an e-gas with “throttle-blip” function make it much easier to get used to this new GT3 racing car than its predecessor, meaning that the new model is also more appropriate for the ambitious amateur racing driver.

Flared wheel arches added on to the body both front and rear bear clear testimony to the wider track than on the former model. And like all second-generation versions of the 911, the new 911 GT3 R also comes with striking LED rear light clusters.

The Porsche 911 GT3 R is making its world debut on 14 January 2010 at the Birmingham Motor Show. The car is built by Porsche’s Motorsport Department at the Weissach Development Centre and will be delivered to Customer Teams the world over as of spring 2010. The base price of the Porsche 911 GT3 R is 279,000 euros plus local sales tax/VAT.

New 9ff GTurbo850

9ff demonstrates it with its new 9ff GTurbo850. The basis car is nothing less than a Porsche 997 GT3 or Porsche 997 GT3 RS. Vehicles, which already have an engine power of 435 HP with the 997 GT3 and 450 HP in case of the 997 GT3 RS. The concept of these cars follows the requirements of motor sport.

The requirements and expectations of a tuner are accordingly high. 9ff has accepted this challenge and put a Bi-Turbo conversion to the engine. The result is a maximum power from up to 1000 HP. Only the highest-quality materials are used. For example titanium connecting rods an extra strong forged pistons.

However, only the many years of experience and competence from 9ff in the areas of development, construction and set-up of high-end engines make this engine power possible. As a result 9ff offers the following conversions:

* 9ff GTurbo750: 750HP / 850 NM torque
* 9ff GTurbo850: 850HP / 910 NM torque / 0-100km/h – 3.0s / 0-200km/h – 8.9s / 0-300km/h – 18.7s
* 9ff GTurbo1000: 1000HP / 940 NM torque / 0-100km/h – 2.9s / 0-200km/h – 8.2s / 0-300km/h – 16.5s

For a better cooling effect of the intercooler, the rear fenders are equipped with air intakes. 9ff put air outlets in the front fender in order to reduce the pressure in the wheel wells at high speed. But merely engine power is not enough for 9ff. 9ff presents in the 9ff GTurbo850 also for the first time, the new aerodynamics kit in 9ff GTurbo design. The kit consists of a front apron with LED indicators, side skirts and a rear apron. The rear apron is available in two variations. Once as a variation for the middle exhaust system of the GT3, GT3RS and 9ff Speed9. And the second variation for left / right exhausts systems for all other 997. Naturally we also offer a solution, for the conversion from the side exhaust system to the left / right exhaust system.

The price of the aerodynamic kit 9ff GTurbo design is Euro 8.900,00 (tax, mounting and painting excluded)

Another highlight is the new light alloy wheel in sporty 5 double spokes design. The 9ff GTurbo design rims comes in the dimension 8,5×19″ / 11×19″ and fits with the regular tires. Price for a set is Euro 4.980,00 (tax, painting excluded).

As another option 9ff offers the 9ff GTurbo design rims with a central lock system. Price for a set of the 9ff GTurbo design rims with central lock is Euro 5.950,00 (tax, painting excluded).

Porsche Techart GT Street Performance

In the comparison carried out, TECHART impressively asserted its superiority over the competitors. Already before the record drive on the 3,671-meter circuit, the TECHART GT Street RS impressed spectators and proved its unique versatility. Apart from the sprinter qualities demonstrated several times, which were once more unheard of (from 0 to 100 km/hh in only 3.5 sec), the sports car displayed another quality that was just as important: A 36-yard braking distance at a speed of 100 km/h is looking to find its match. Once again, TECHART’s basic principles were confirmed: TÜV-tested and approved components as well as OEM quality in every detail.

For the conclusion of the extensive test program, the TECHART GT Street RS was able to crown once more the performance achieved on this day. With a lap time of 1:31.94 min, the winner of the Tuner Grand Prix 2008 and 2009 repeatedly demonstrated the TECHART winning gene. With more than 1.95 sec of head start, it left not only the competitors far behind, but improved the current lap record at the Sachsenring by an unprecedented 4.47 sec.
