Chrysler plans to provide live TV service in its vehicles

Are you one of those who complain that most in-car TV offerings don’t have the channel that you like or are prohibitively expensive? Here’s Chrysler’s answer to this dilemma. Its dealer-installed TV system named the FLO TV system offers 20 channels of streaming entertainment.

It is priced at $629 and is offered with a full year of complimentary programming. After the first year is up, the service is available at a reasonable $9 monthly access fee. Channels included are CBS, CNBC, Comedy Central, FOX News, MSNBC, MTV, NBC 2Go, and Nickelodeon. There’s something in store for everybody. Buyers can expect the 7-inch entertainment system at several Chrysler models built after 2008. While TV service is available in over 100 metropolitan areas, signals may be limited in rural regions. If you’re looking to get one in time for the holidays, then you’ll be excited to know that it will be arriving at dealerships this December.
