HPE700 LS9 Camaro by Hennessey

A vehicle that Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) claims would soon be remembered throughout history as one of the most significant modern muscle cars ever built will be displayed at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. There will only be 24 examples made of the HPE’s limited edition, Corvette ZR1 inspired, 2010 HPE700 LS9 Camaro.

The vehicle is powered by Hennessey’s tweaked LS9 engine, making the supercharged HPE700 Camaro produce 725 bhp and 741 lb-ft of torque twist. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph is achieved in only 3.5 seconds. At the SEMA Show, visitors can hightail to the HPE700 LS9 Camaro on display at the Mobil 1 booth.

The HPE700 LS9 Camaro is equipped with massive 15-inch Brembo brakes with 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in rear. HPE added KW Variant 3 coilover suspension with upgraded sway bars to improve ride quality and handling.

The combination of Hennessey’s own lightweight 3-piece 20-inch wheels and Michelin PS2 tires enables the HPE700 Camaro to generate 1.01 g on a 200 ft. skidpad. The package also includes ZR1-inspired Cam-Aero carbon fiber body upgrades consisting of a front splitter, side skirts and rear bumper with diffuser. Company founder and president, John Hennessey, asserts that the 2010 HPE700 LS9 Camaro may be one of the most special vehicles the company has ever made.
