Toyota could build a FT-86 Convertible if the market wants it

So, we saw the FT-86 Concept and the Subaru 216A preview but it appears that this is not the only vehicle that will be part of the Toyota-Subaru sports car program. According to a senior member of the Japanese brand, we found out that Toyota will bring a convertible version of the FT-86 Concept, if the market demands it of course.

For those who don’t know, the Toyota FT-86 Concept (”86″ pronounced “hachi roku”) made its official debut at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show and made quite a buzz. It is powered by a 2.0-liter boxer engine, developed by Subaru but for the moment the manufacturer didn’t want to release any numbers. Regarding the dimensions of the car, this measures 4,160 mm in length, has a width of 1,760 mm, a height of 1,260 mm and a wheelbase seating which measures 2,570 mm.
