Vauxhall unveiled its cleanest Corsa Ecoflex

Vauxhall has unveiled the Corsa ecoFlex, which will be available in January 2010. The model boasts to have CO2 emissions of 98g/km and a combined fuel consumption of 76.3mpg.

The 1.3 CDTi turbo-diesel powered supermini outputs enhanced power and torque figures over the previous model boasting 96bhp and 190Nm respectively, largely due to a higher pressure variable geometry turbocharger. The ecoFlex can reach 62mph from zero in 12.3 seconds and has a top speed of 110mph. To achieve the low emission ratings, the Corsa ecoFlex is fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter as standard, slotting the emission friendly Corsa into the lowest tax brackets. The car sits 20mm lower and on 14-inch steel rims with aero-optimized wheel trims. Pricing has yet to be announced.
